The greatest crime of Islam : Destruction of NALANDA

The greatest Crime islam commited in its whole history was the destruction of Nalanda the world's first university the seat of learning and wisdom , the birthplace of Wisdom and Philosophy the womb of Buddhism the fruit of culture and progressive thought and the pride of mankind east or west. Where great souls like buddha Mahavira Kautilya and Paninni stayed and taught . Founded between 550 and 600 BC and imparted knowledge to thousands of students till AD 1193 ,where courses were drawn from every field of learning secular and sacred , native and foreign Science Mathematics, Metallurgy, Medicine, Astronomy , Philosophy, Logic, Physics , Anatomy , Yog shastras , Vedas Scriptures and even philosphies from abroad and across the seas which attracted pupils and scholars from Greece , Korea Japan , China Tibet Indonesia Persia and Turkey ...an architectural masterpeice accomodation over 10,000 students and 2000 teachers

with eight seprate compounds , 10 Temples , meditation halls classrooms , lakes and parks . The library was a seven story building where texts were meticulously prepared.
In AD 1193 Muslim Invaders under Bhaktiyar Khalji Khajli captured it . He asked is there a Kuran here ?. Thousands of monks were burned alive and beheaded as he uprooted Buddhism and planted ISLAM by sword

what did the innocent monks do to deserve slaughter ? All their mouths could utter was " Buddham Sharanam Gacchami" even when they were burned on poles . The building were demolished till the 4 foundation walls. Centuries and Centuries of manuscripts were turned to Ash and Dust . The burning of the library went on for months .as the daughter of culture was ravished by bigotry and narrow mindedness.

Oh Muslims who wish that only Islam would be , learn the art of tolerance so that we may coexsist. Religion is insignificat its only worthy humans that matter . Let not religion use us ,may we use it as means to peace. A man who truely knew God would not harm an insect.
इस्लाम के इतिहास का सबसे बड़ा अपराध था नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय को ध्वस्त करना । नालंदा विश्व का सबसे पुरातन ज्ञान का केन्द्र था । बुद्धिमत्ता एवं दर्शनशास्त्र की जननी थी नालंदा । बौद्ध धर्म का केन्द्र । संस्कृति और प्रगतिशील विचार यहाँ पनपते थे , पूर्व और पश्चिम के लोगों का अभिमान थी नालंदा ।
बुद्ध, महावीर , कौटिल्य और पान्निनी यहाँ पढाते थे । इसकी स्थापना इसा पूर्व में हुई थी ; यहाँ प्रत्येक प्रकार के पाठ्यक्रम थे - विज्ञान , गणित , खगोल , चकित्सा , तर्क , योग, वेद शास्त्र तथा अन्य विदेशी शिक्षाएं जिसे पढने समंदर पार से विद्यार्थी आते थे जैसे यूनान , जापान , चीन , तिब्बत ,कोरिया , तुर्की , ईरान इत्यादि
वास्तुकला का अत्क्रुष्ट नमूना जिसमें १ विद्यार्थियों और अध्यापकों के लिए रहने की लिए जगह थी , १ मंदिर , ध्यान के लिए कक्ष ,कक्षाएं, नदी एवं बगीचे ...पुस्तकालय ७ मंजिला ईमारत में था , जहाँ पाठ्य पुस्तकें तैयार होती थीं ।
में मुस्लिम आक्रमणकारी बख्तियार खल्जी ने इस पे कब्ज़ा कर लिया और पुछा "क्या यहाँ कुरान की प्रति है ?"
भिक्षुओं का सर काट दिया गया अथवा उन्हें जिन्दा जला दिया गया । बौद्ध धर्म को मिटा कर इस्लाम को तलवार के जोर से स्थापित किया गया ।
बेचारे बौद्ध भिक्षुओं ने ऐसा क्या किया था जिस की उन्हें ऐसे सजा मिली ?
पूरे विश्वविद्यालय को तोड़ दिया गया , हजारों साल पुराने ग्रंथों को जला दिया गया , महीनों तक यह विश्वविद्यालय जलता रहा ..संस्कृति कट्टरता और संकीर्णता के हाथों लूटी गयी थी ।
